Event Overview

Are you looking for something to do with a small group of friends? This is the perfect session for you!  Get creative, socialize, and make something cool. 
You +3 of your friends will have the studio to yourselves, to pinch, coil, and press the clay to your heart's delights. Use hand-building techniques and press-molds, or try the potter's wheel if you're ready to make a real mess! 

Freeform workshop. Whether you decide to work together on a collective masterpiece, or follow your own paths, you'll have all the fun of trying out your ideas in the clay, and creating memories for a lifetime. 

Materials, basic instruction, & tools provided. Includes finishing service: smoothing, glazing & firing, to make sure your work looks really awesome! 
Projects will be ready for pick-up approximately 3 weeks after class. 


This single ticket includes admission for up to 4 guests. Appropriate for ages 7+ up. Up to 2 additional guests can be added for a top-up fee ($45-55ea)

Minimum age

7 years or older

Parent or guardian required if under 18

What's Provided

Clay, tools and basic materials are provided, along with work aprons and studio towels. Wear studio-appropriate clothing.

Heather McQueen is an accomplished ceramic artist, working primarily in the low-fire range. Her work varies from drums and sculptural vessels to utilitarian, country-style tableware. She enjoys inspiring others through her work, from one-on-one lessons to Visiting Artist Residencies.
Heather's claywork has been published ("From Mud to Music", "500 Raku") and featured in a nationally televised promo (US Cellular). She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and maintains an independent ceramic studio in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
