Event Overview

This 2 hour class will leave you with a new skill set! You'll be able to make a beautiful lotus flower from locally sourced, reclaimed plastic drill gauges. "Upcycling" is the art of making something new from something that was headed to the landfill.

Creator Tracey Dobson will show you how to join these 3"x 6" pieces together with screws, nuts and the humble screwdriver for a tool. They measure 31" across and visually read like metal.

Each student will receive enough materials to make 3 lotus flowers. During our two hour session you'll finish at least one. The others you can make at home. Suitable for anyone of any age who can handle a screwdriver.

What to Bring

Bring a bottle of wine! I'll bring the glasses. (For a party of 6 or more, I will provide wine and artisan cheese at additional cost. Send me a message!)

Minimum age

All ages welcome

What's Provided

All materials will be provided, along with light snacks.

What a great time. Tracey is so inviting and warm. Her ideas will blow your mind. The class was taught at great pace for everyone. Loved every second of it. And the flower is hanging in a spot to show off.

I had a wonderful time, learned a lot about up-cycling in Chicago in general, and really enjoyed working with the teacher, Tracy.
