Event Overview

Remember those warm, chocolate chip cookies your mom would bake for you? What about that great red velvet birthday cake that you would ask for every year? It's time to recreate those memories in the oh-so-tricky mountains.

This class will cover the baking basics and how to avoid the problems that sometimes occur with being at a high altitude. You will learn some of the most important aspects of beginning baking: equipment essentials, knowing your ingredients (and substitutions), measuring and conversions, how to bake with ease above sea level, and most importantly, how to make delicious treats!

We will teach you to sift, roll, mix, and of course, bake! Dabblers will enjoy some delectable bites during class and leave with a few treats to share with friends and family.

Natalie was awesome. She went through the basics for creating perfect cookies & muffins at high altitude - and then she showed us how to adjust & experiment our way to perfection on any recipe. The group was fun and we got to get our hands dirty. She invited us to bring beers - always a good thing! A great class.
