Event Overview

Are you a fan of coffee but want to know more about describing coffee's flavor? Ever wonder how coffee roasters come up with things like "dry" or "round" or "full" or "sour" when they write those descriptions? Want to know how a brewing method will change a coffee's character? This one's for you!

This class will cover Coffee Cupping, which is what roasters and buyers go through when choosing coffees. You will learn how to describe taste, locations on your palate, and learn how to identify defects and roasting problems.

I enjoyed the home roasting course so much, I decided to return the following week for this course - and once again was not disappointed! Mark is an excellent teacher, and this was a great way to taste different coffees side by side. I'd often wondered about the different terms used to describe coffee - and while I'm not sure I could ever be a coffee reviewer/cupper/taster, I certainly have a much better understanding of what it is all about. A very well spend 2 hours for me. Thank you.
