Event Overview
Join us for cocktail hour at the Queen City General store to talk bees! There are thousands of native bees on the front range, and honey bees are not one of them. There are big ones, tiny ones, black ones, blue ones, green ones! This introduction to native bees in your backyard, will also include building some native bee nesting boxes and putting together seed packets. Everything you need to create pollinator habitat and invite native bees into your own space.

Seneca has been a beekeeper for the past 11 years. She studied bee husbandry and urban ecology and now works managing hives and running a pollinator educational program called Thrive in the Denver area. She believes in finding ways to bring wildness into the city and building urban landscapes as ecosystems.
