Event Overview

Can you really bake those cupcakes, eat them, AND still feel good? A thousand times yes! Between substitutions, tricks, and a few base recipes up your sleeve, we will explore how to indulge your sweet tooth and still be able to feel great about it!

Healthier baked treats tend to get a bad rap, between too dry cakes and too cakey cookies, baked goods can fall flat without the proper tender loving care. We will learn how to tweak a recipe to make it both healthier, vegan, or both, without losing the flavor and indulgence every treat needs to become a winner. This class is great for anyone looking to get into the healthier side of baking, vegans (everything will be vegan!), or anyone just wanting to bust out of the "cream butter and sugar" baking realm. We will take baking, then put a couple recipes to the taste test to see how they stack up.

You will come away with a new outlook on healthy baking, how these healthy recipe tweaks can play into baking, and a few recipes to make your friends explain "THIS is healthy?! (and vegan)"!
