Event Overview
Bookbinding is versatile and useful. This class will be a great introduction into bookbinding because you will walk in empty-handed and walk back out a couple hours later with a beautiful Coptic bound book and a stomach full of snacks.
In this workshop you will wrap boards to make covers, fold signatures, punch holes in your signatures, and sew the Coptic binding. No bookbinding experience is required.
You will need to be comfortable with sewing needles, and you will need to bring your best fine motor skills, and a good attitude.
What you’ll learn: some bookbinding basics, and what it takes to bind books. (In order to allow students to walk out with a finished book, I will be doing much of the prep work.)
All materials will be provided, as well as coffee and light snacks.
See you there!
