Foraging Through the Eyes of a Chef
6 Have Dabbled
Food & Drink
Join James Beard semi-finalist chef, Rob Connoley, for an afternoon of foraging in the greater St Louis area. Rob has professional foraged and chefed for the past decade drawing acclaim from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Sunset Magazine and many more. He is also the author of one of Epicurious.com's 2016 top cookbooks: Acorns & Cattails: A Modern Foraged Cookbook of Forest, Farm and Field.
Participants will learn about what is in season today and how to safely and ethically harvest foraged items and suggestions for cooking with them. This event will involve off-trail walking and a weather date will be set if rain happens. We will gather at Tower Grove Park and drive to the weather-dependent venue. Please note that Tower Groves is NOT the final location, just the meeting spot. WE WILL BE MEETING AT BABLER STATE PARK FRONT GATE AT NOON.
