Learn the nutritional value of foraged foods as well as a little historical folk lore behind the plants. Learn proper harvesting techniques to ensure plant health. Learn how to make simple foraged meals and how to utilize plants growing in your own backyard or neighborhoods for food, medicine and more. We will focus in detail, on the 12 most common edible and medicinal plants that grow in this region.

Crystal Stevens are CSA Farmers along the bluffs of the Mighty Mississippi. Crystal is a trained herbalist as well as a Missouri Master Gardener and a Missouri Master Naturalist. Crystal has been teaching food as medicine and herbal workshops since 2006. Eric has been foraging for over a decade. Together, they are passionate about edible and medicinal weeds & wild plants.
