Event Overview
This class is an introduction to wines of Piedmont, in northern Italy, from a winemaker himself.
There will be an overview of the region, grape varietals, wine making, and the wines themselves. Then, of course, there will be a tasting of 4 wines from Piedmont.
This is an opportunity for anyone with little-to-no wine knowledge to begin a journey of the enjoyment of vino, but will also hold the interest of wine connoisseurs.
You will leave the class having tasted some of the best wines in the world, knowing a little bit more of the region, and appreciating the wine culture and traditions.

Luciano Racca is a wine maker from Piedmont, in Northern Italy. Born and raised among vineyards, Luciano has always had an innate passion for wine, which continued to grow while working in top hotels and restaurants throughout Europe. Back to Italy, in 2006 he opened a restaurant as Director Manager, and was awarded two Michelin stars. After many years of opening countless great bottles of wine from around the world, in 2009 he moved back to Piedmont to learn more about 'what comes before the cork'. Today he owns a winery and travels as the US Brand Ambassador for other producers. Luciano not only has the passion for wine making, but educating people about this magnificent region.
